Village of Lake Bluff becomes the Eighth Bird City of Illinois
In July 2024, the Village of Lake Bluff received recognition as a Bird City! Coordinated by the Audubon Council of Illinois, the Bird City Illinois program celebrates municipalities that "demonstrate an active and ongoing commitment to the protection and conservation of bird populations and their habitats." Lake Bluff is the eighth municipality in Illinois to receive the recognition, joining Rockford, Waukegan, Freeport, Grayslake, Libertyville, Evanston, and St. Charles.
Congratulations to President of the Village Board of Trustees, Regis Charlot, Village Trustees, and all the volunteers that contributed to this initiative.
